Paying homage to lumber that was destined for the chipper, the pine used in this piece has a place in history - it was felled near Mt. Helena following the 2008 pine bark beetle outbreak. Rather than a trip to the chipper, we opted to have the log turned into boards that make up the top, decorative bead and feet of this table - the base is made from hard maple. The marriage of Mother Nature's handiwork with the touch of a Master Craftsman beckons one to place this piece where it will be loved and its story told...

A.L. has been an ardent supporter of Helena’s non-profit community (including PPLT!) since he came here in 2000. With a new gallery in the Great Northern Town Center, A.L. can continue to produce his masterpieces and provide unmatched instruction to the fortunate students that thrive under his tutelage.
