Vision
The organization's vision serves as a guide and a picture of the ideal future. It includes both an external view of the organization's impact as a result of achieving its purpose, and an internal view of what the organization looks like when it is operating effectively and efficiently to support the achievement of the external vision. The challenge is to create a vision grand enough to inspire, but grounded enough that people believe it can and will happen.
The following consolidated list of goals and desired accomplishments will serve as Prickly Pear Land Trust's vision and guide for the future.
- Significant lands preserved through fee title acquisition or conservation easement.
- Access to public lands secured.
- Residents appreciate and understand the many values of our natural surroundings.
- Stewardship responsibilities are being carried out in perpetuity.
- Sufficient funds are obtained and managed to support all operations in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Members of the general public as well as members of the Land Trust are actively involved in open space issues and conservation activities.
- Significant lands with recreational, wildlife, scenic, agricultural or historic values have been restored or enhanced.
